なんか久しぶりですね。最初は、このLJを日本語の日記にしますと言ったのに。。。
All right, one of the rare times you'll see this journal in English. (I hope) Some people have been asking me about my classes and etc., so I thought I'll just post an update here because this LJ is supposed to be for my Japanese lessons. Right?? XD
Basically, I'm enrolled in a Japanese University Preparatory Course right now. Other than Japanese, I have to study Japan and the World, Mathematics, and English. Well, it really depends on what you want to major in Uni; those are the requirements for MY Japanese Studies degree. Currently, lessons are from 9 to 3, 5 days a week. YES, purely Japanese lessons. I'm in heaven~~~ XD BUT from May onwards (after Golden Week to be exact), our general subjects classes will start: Japan and the World, Math and Eng. So from then on, classes will extend till 4:30 x____X
My school is ABK language school and it's apparently quite popular. @@ Also renowned for giving killer tests and tons of HW, which I can vouch IS true. XD;; Not much for the killer tests, but definitely so for the HW. I spend close to an hour every day doing HW now. HWs range from vocab/grammar to essays and reading comprehension. I don't mind getting HW actually, because it means more practice and more chance for me to get my grammar corrected. X3 That's something that I'm rather weak in. I'm decent in reading, thanks to Gackt's articles, but I'm really weak in speaking and writing. XO I got the shock of my life when I received my first essay paper back. It was all corrected in RED. XD XD According to the teacher, I mix speech form and written form together, and also use informal speeches/slangs too often (also thanks to Gackt's articles? XD) and that's something you musn't do in essay. See, I didn't know that at first. XD Like, you ccan't use ndesu-form, instead you must use masu-form when you write essays. :D I thought those kinds of tidbits are interesting, and definitely useful in learning Japanese. ;)
I'm enjoying myself throroughly~ The class is covering JLPT 2 stuff which I had already studied and taken last year, but it's great revision. Like I've mentioned, there are so many things I still do not know. I might excel in reading comprehension, but my vocab... ;;=;; The others who have only learned Japanese for 6 months are better in vocab than I am. Since some of them have been here since Oct, they have had chances to learn Japanese from the start, which is actually better than doing it my way, where I learn Japanese for two years but did not practice it much. ._. So I don't know some of the simple vocabs like... trash can (gomibako) and stuff like that. I understand what it means of course, but when I'm supposed to answer, I go. "...afhalshfjlasdf.... ajhdflajshdfljashdfljas *runs*" XD XD So that's definitely something to be improved on. ^^
( Kisou kamoku )
( Ono and Oh no~ tte?? )
Haha, I'll talk more about the fun lessons in Kokubu sensei's classes next. X3
もちろん、次回からまた全部日本語でね。 ;)
